Classroom News!
We started this week celebrating Earth Day as a school community. The children participated in recycling activities, sampling local produce, and planting flowers in our school garden.
In class, we are continuing to discuss Farm Life and the life-cycle of plants, vegetables, and fruits. Some of our lima beans are just starting to sprout and the children have enjoyed predicting and observing these changes.
Exciting News! We are just about done with our phonics books, and we will be sending the completed book home soon. Look for them in your child's school bag.

Poem of the Week
The Barnyard
All around the barnyard
The animals are asleep
Sleeping cows and horses
Sleeping pigs and sheep.
Along comes the rooster
To sound his loud alarm
"Cock-a-doodle-doo!
Wake up sleepy farm!"
