Sunday Message
Week of 2/11/19
There was a lot happening this week at school. On Tuesday, we celebrated our 100th day of school. There were a lot of fun activities happening in Kindergarten and 1st grade to mark the occasion.
All of our 4th graders participated in the "A Touch of Understanding" experience. The Touch of Understanding program builds disability-awareness in our students and helps them "understand the challenges associated with disabilities and to accept and respect all individuals".
I would like to thank the Lincoln Business Network for adopting our school to help support the Touch of Understanding experience.
On Friday, Kris Wyatt, our WPUSD School board member and representative from the Lincoln Potter Baseball team, came out to talk to students about our upcoming Potter fundraiser. Students will receive information packets on Monday that explain how it works. Students will be selling vouchers for home game tickets. On June 5th, there will be a Twelve Bridges Elementary Night at the Potters game. Our choir will be singing the national anthem and the student who sells the most vouchers will throw out the first pitch!
This coming Tuesday is our Mother-daughter paint night and there is no school on Thursday, Friday, and next Monday.
Let's have a great short week of school! I hope you all have a safe and enjoyable five day weekend!
Sincerely,
Mr. Middleton
