THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS! PICK-UP AND DROP OFF ARE GOING BEAUTIFULLY!
School officially begins at 8:40. Students and parents may line up outside of their designated arrival door and teacher supervision begins at 8:30 AM. Use the pictures below to plan your route and drop-off location. If you are walking your child to their doors, plan to park in a parking spot indicated. To use the drop off lane, your child MUST be ready to exit (able to unbuckle quickly, open vehicle door with backpack, close door) and MUST exit onto the crosswalk ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ONLY.
As a reminder, due to our security protocols, parents will not be allowed in the classrooms.
ARRIVAL:
8:30 - Doors open. First bell rings.NO Adult on duty before this time; children must be accompanied by an adult prior to 8:30.
8:30-8:40 - Student arrival; teachers at doors indicated
8:40 am - Bell rings for start of day. Teachers close doors and begin attendance and instruction.
8:45 am - Tardy bell rings - Students arriving after this time must enter the Main Office Door (Door #1), be accompanied by a parent and signed in as 'tardy'.
Notes to Remember:
- The drop off lane in the parking lot will allow students to exit vehicles on the passenger side, walk to the crosswalk and then to their line up spot.
- Supervision does not begin until 8:30. Parents DO NOT leave your child unattended or drop them in the drop off lane prior to our supervision times.
DISMISSAL:
3:30 pm - Dismissal bell rings. K-2 students will be dismissed directly to their designated pick-up person, or escorted to their proper bus. 3rd-6th graders will be dismissed as a group at their dismissal door. Classroom teachers will identify their dismissal door/location to parents.
We have approximately 700 students attending Ebeling this year. The parking lot cannot accommodate everyone with a parking spot, and may be 'closed' to car entry at dismissal times. Be prepared to park on the streets (Haverhill or Tilch) and walk in to the school property for pick up. Families with older students (grades 3-6) can designate a meeting spot on school property or a nearby landmark (the Tilch crosswalk, the 4-way stop at Haverhill, etc) to ease dismissal.
JOIN US FOR THE BACK TO SCHOOL PICNIC!
The Back to School Picnic will take place outside Ebeling on Friday, September 23rd from 5:30pm-8:00pm. Tickets will be available to purchase that evening at the ticket booth. Food, games and crafts all range from 1-4 tickets and the price is 50 cents per 1 ticket. We are asking for volunteers to help with set up, food service, game stations and clean up.
Please considering volunteering your time by clicking the SignUp Genius link BELOW:
**In the event of rain, the picnic will be held indoors at Ebeling.
PICTURE DAY!
Our annual Picture Day is scheduled for September 21st. Kaiser Studio photographers will be here at school to take photos of all children for our yearbook; photo packages and yearbooks are available for purchase online at this site: www.Kaiserstudio.com
Once on the site, click on "Order Pictures" and enter our school code: 22EBELING23.
You may also purchase picture packages and yearbooks with cash (exact change) or check using the paper flyer that will be sent home with students next week.
OUR LOST & FOUND AREA HAS A NEW LOOK!
A great big "Thank You!" goes out to Mrs. Lee (and her sidekick/helper, Mr. Lee!) for beautifying our Lost & Found area at school. Parents can encourage their children to visit the Lost & Found area if they have misplaced an item at school. With so many students, the area is overflowing with items every few months. Several times throughout the year, we will notify parents that all left items will be donated to local charity organizations, so please visit or encourage your child to 'rescue' their lost items promptly. It is always best to check with your child's teacher first, as teachers will keep items left in their classroom (and even better to label items with your child's name for a safe return).

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
The teachers and staff at Ebeling support the recognition of a child’s birthday during the school day - it is an annual milestone in every child’s life. While there are many wonderful and creative ways to celebrate a child’s birthday in school, birthday celebrations at Ebeling will not include food treats. Instead, the focus will be on recognizing the day in a variety of special ways that do not include food treats. Some possibilities include:
- · Class sings “Happy Birthday”
- · Happy Birthday Recess/Gift
- . Sticker/bracelet from Principal
- · Morning “Happy Birthday” PA announcement
- · Parent makes a donation of book to class library/read to class
- · Student reads favorite book to class
- · Non-Food treat bags for classmates
- · Parent/special someone reads story to class
We do not accept deliveries on behalf of students (balloons, flowers, food items) Parents may drop off a special lunch (for their child only, not the class) or choose to take their child out to lunch on their special day. Your child’s teacher will have more information on how birthdays will be celebrated in the classroom. As educators, caregivers and loved ones we all want the best for our students. Thank you for joining us in giving students healthy opportunities to celebrate important events and achievements.

SCHOOL VISITORS:
We are asking for your assistance to ensure that our security procedures during the school day are effective. As many of you know, our school has a security camera, intercom, and buzzer at the front main entrance for use during the school day. To help us assist you when you would like to enter the school:
1. Please press the buzzer to speak with someone in the office
2. You will be asked to state your name and reason for visiting
3. You will be asked to show your photo ID into the security camera above the outside door
4. Office staff will then be able to buzz you inside
5. All visitors must immediately register in the office
In addition, we are asking you to not let any visitors in the door as you enter (and they come up behind you) or as you exit the building.
The teachers and staff are committed to student safety and security and we would like to thank you for your assistance in helping keep the students of Ebeling safe.
