Thanks SO much to those that have offered your time and ideas for our silent auction scheduled for March 4th. The PTO appreciates it!

Thanks to Zohaib and Vickie for bringing our student council members to Devonshire of Lisle Senior Living Community. It offered our little leaders an experience to contribute to their community. We're excited that student council will also be making our world a better place by lending a helping hand at Feed My Starving Children in the spring.

Thanks to Devra, Jordan, and Jill for representing our teachers at the PTO meeting.

Meadowview Fun Fair

If anyone is willing to volunteer to run a station/game during our upcoming fun fair, please click on the VolunteerSpot link below. The PTO is having a bit of a difficult time filling spots. By clicking on the link and entering your email address, you can sign up for a specific time slot quickly and easily. Thanks!

Check this out! It's a message from Rachel

I found this “quick read” blog from LearnZillions Math Instruction Expert on productive struggle and what teachers can do to foster it.

I really like the prompting questions shared in the blog and thought these questions really could work with other subjects too.

· Tell me what it is you’re trying to figure out.

· Walk me through what you’ve done so far.

· What would you do if you knew what to do?

And please keep in mind this VERY important message...

Notes and Reminders

  • Don't forget to use your PTO money! :)

  • Please let me know if you are interested in facilitating an after school club for the third session (April 5-May 26).

  • Thanks so much for limiting color printing. We're saving a fortune! Don't hesitate to reach out to me if you feel like something NEEDS to be printed in color for students.

  • Meadowview students made incredible growth in writing last year. Please ensure you are continuing to stay faithful to the writing unit pacing and the high expectations outlined in the Calkins' rubrics and checklists.

  • I'm assuming everyone that requires access to PARCC has it by now. Check again to make sure you can login and let me know if you have any issues. Thanks!

  • Are you keeping up with parent communication or just forgetting to provide me with a copy? Please make sure I receive a copy (hard copy or electronic) of anything you send home to all parents. Thanks to all who do this on a weekly basis.

  • In all your 'spare' time, could you please take a look at our shared drive and remove anything that you don't need anymore? Thanks so much!
