Principal's Point
Dear North Families,
I want to thank you each for taking the time to meet with us during Parent-Teacher Conferences. Although we would rather meet in person we enjoyed the opportunity to share your child’s progress with you. If you were unable to talk with your child's teacher we hope you will reach out and arrange a meeting at a more convenient time.
We are wrapping up our first 9 weeks and have 1 more week until fall break. As we move into the final week of break please remind your child that this is a great opportunity to really dig in and focus on the great educational activities our teachers have planned.
Have a fantastic weekend, and SHINE on!!!

Bullying Prevention
October is national bullying prevention month. Students are learning how to identify bullying and specific skills to help stop bullying. Students will learn how to:
· Recognize when bullying is happening
· Report bullying to a caring adult
· Refuse to let bullying happen to themselves or others
· Be a bystander who stands up and is part of the solution to bullying
In addition, your student will bring home simple, fun activities called Home Links that will help you understand what your child is learning regarding bullying prevention. These fun activities also give your student another chance to practice skills for handling bullying.
For more information on our district’s bullying policy and procedures, check our district website www.noblesvilleschools.org under Student Services. Thank you for helping us make our school a safe, respectful place where everyone can learn.
Social Worker's Scoop
Each school year, all students in grades K-12 must receive education on child abuse prevention prior to December 15th per Indiana Code 20-19-3-11. Students will receive this education through a curriculum created by the Monique Burr Foundation, which will be presented by the school social worker or school counselor. This curriculum focuses on how children can keep themselves safe. If you have questions or concerns please contact the school social worker, Erin DeCocq, erin_decocq@nobl.k12.in.us, (317)-773-0482 ext. 28129 .

Menu Changes
Last Minute Menu Changes
The national food, product and trucking shortages that are impacting stores and restaurants are also impacting our school cafeteria operations.
These shortages can cause our menus to change unexpectedly at the last minute at any specific school and some students have expressed tears, frustration, and anger at these changes.
Please know that we are doing what we can to provide meal options as planned, but families should expect occasional disruptions.
Thank you for your patience as we work to best serve you.
