Week 8 Update
Seminar Overview
Latin - This week we finished up Lesson 8 and played vocabulary review games.
Logic - We watched the Introductory Logic DVD for lessons 23-26.
Exposition & Composition - We reviewed Arrangement topic Division, looked at Essay Five Arrangement Outline, and discussed Where the Red Fern Grows.
Math - Students took turns leading the class through a math discussion using problems from their book. We also focused on the order of Operations. Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally.
Current Events - The class brainstormed issues surrounding women in the military. The students presented their articles and proofs in essay outline format on Whether the Government should require GMO product labeling. We also practiced recording an ANI chart and shared scripture versus relating to the issue.
Science - This week we got caught up on science presentations and demonstrations. There were some fabulous Linnaeus posters, Faraday demonstrations, and Morse Code was fun! I introduced Madame Curie, and we discussed next week's assignment.
