Bulldog BARK
Weekly update
Week of December 13th- December 17th
"At NCHS every student graduates college and career ready with 21st century skills."
Message from the Principal's Desk
Bulldog students and families,
We have 7.5 day left till winter break. It is a very busy time of year as we are getting close to the end of the first semester. We are starting to see some dress code infractions so we are asking that students dress appropriate for the weather as it becomes colder. Please know that heavy coats need to go into lockers and can not be worn during the school day as it is a safety concern. Students are advised to keep a sweater/sweatshirt in their locker for cool days. Students may not bring blankets to wrap around in. I am including the board policy below also click here for all board policy's. Thank you for all your help in talking to your students about the dress code.
CCPS Calendar Changes
The 2021-2022 school year calendar has been amended as detailed below. Changes impacting student days are highlighted in red.
Dec. 22, 2021 is currently scheduled as a half day of school for students, and will now be an early dismissal day for all staff.
Jan. 25 and April 1, 2022 are currently scheduled as half days for students so teachers may complete grading for the end of the semester. All teachers will now have the option to work virtually after students are dismissed.
March 4, April 13, and May 27, 2022 have been changed to half days for students, with April 13 and May 27, 2022, early dismissal for all staff.
For complete details of these changes, please see the news release (Board Amends 2021-22 School Year Calendar) on the CCPS website.

6. Male and female students shall not wear clothing that is unduly revealing including but not limited to halter or other tops such as tank, tube, see-through, or tops which leave the midriff bare, spaghetti straps, or clothes leaving undergarments visible. Sleeveless garments must fit closely under the arms. The determination of whether shorts, skirts and dresses (including slits) are appropriate in length will be made by the administration.
9. Heavy coats and hats (except as provided in #12 below) are to be placed in lockers or on coat racks upon arrival to school and remain there until such time as they may be necessary for an approved outside activity (such as recess or field trip) or dismissal. Students are advised to keep a sweater/sweatshirt in their locker for cool days. Students are prohibited from wearing heavy coats in school during the school day.
12. Hats, caps, sun visors, bandannas, sweatbands and other head coverings may not be worn inside the building. Head coverings for religious reasons or medical reasons are appropriate (with advance approval).
