Sutton County
The history of Sutton County is one that is quite interesting. Sutton County covers at least 1,455 square miles of land between the cities of San Antonio and El Paso, Texas, sitting on the intersection of Interstate Highway 10, Exit 400, and 65 miles South of Del Rio. It was founded by Charles G. Adams around 1885, a rancher and farmer from Fort McKavett. People began moving there in the early 1870s, and with time, Sutton County was born. It is known for its famous agriculture, especially the large numbers of sheep living in the area. Sutton County is developing more and more every day with time and the boom of its economy.
