Hunter's Message
Parents,
The school year continues to fly by as we focus on preparing our students academically and socially for life after high school. Our students are involved in academic and athletic competitions this semester and they continue to make us Mustang Proud! Spring Break is right around the corner and next up will be EOC, AP Exams and Graduation.
Our goal is to continue to partner with you to ensure the success of our students. Attendance and student engagement are key priorities here at Westfield. Thank you for sending your child to school each day prepared and ready to learn.
Continue to reach out if you have any questions. We are here for you!
Thank you for all the support!
Go Stangs!

Parker's Message 9th Grade Center
Our wonderful counselors (Ms. Rose and Mrs. Francis) met with all of our scholars via their World Geography classes on February 18th to complete course selections for the 2022-23 school year. Time is passing by quickly and we want to ensure they are on the right track. Please talk about course selections and pathways with your student.
As we move into the spring months, we ask that you speak with your students about both your expectations and our campus expectations. Students are now adjusted to high school and how things work and we want to finish the school year the same way we started it...STRONG. Scholars need to make sure they adhere to the systems and routines that we have put in place at the 9th grade center so that we can ensure their safety. A few of those procedures are as follows:
- Students need to be in class at 7:20 (that's the time school starts). We are aware of transportation issues, but students must be at school on-time.
- If students don't have classes on the main campus they shouldn't be there at any time.
- If students do have classes on the main campus they must have a color coded transition pass. Those passes have been issued to students and they must have them on their person at all times.
- All students have student IDs. They need to wear them. If they need a temporary they are $1 and replacements are $5.
- Students need to bring a fully charged Chromebook daily (not a safety and security issue, but nevertheless, they need to be reminded).
As always, we are here to serve and if you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out to us here at the 9th grade center.
A message from our superintendent
remember dress code, backpack, mask policies are enforced for scholars on both campuses!
Please make sure you have a fully charged chromebook daily.
Congratulations to the Girls Basketball Team on a great season. We are very proud of you!
Congratulations to our Boys Basketball Team! We are still standing strong and we are looking forward to going all the way to the top!
#MustangMentality
instructional strategy of the week
- Active Monitoring and Checking for Understanding - Active monitoring ensures that the teacher is approaching every single student in class in order to receive and give immediate feedback. This allows the teacher an opportunity to gather data quickly and make necessary interventions.
THE SUCCESS WALK was outstanding we were able to reach out to 1,091 students and parents
Congratulations to the Girls Basketball Team on a great season. We are very proud of you!

Classes are face to face this year, and we need you on campus. Please be on time. Free breakfast is available to all scholars starting at 6:45am. Remember, attendance counts all day, everyday! A 2-hour detention will be assigned to students tardy.
if you have any questions about attendance, please email the whs attendance clerk.
Remember, the 90% rule still applies. You need to be in every class 90% of the time to receive credit for the course. This is a state law! See you in class.
