Keystone Pipeline

Cons: The pipeline will bring the oil all the way to Louisiana to be refined and then it will be shipped out and none of the oil will be used by the United States.

Pros: The pipeline wil produce a lot of temporary jobs that ail help the local economies a little bit.

Minimum Wage

Pros:Raising the minimum wage will put more money in the pockets of people who need it the most. It will raise consumer spending around towns.

Cons: Goods will increase in price steadily, thus neutralizing the increase in wages.

Biography of Rob Portman

Born in 1955 (age 58) in Cincinnati Ohio. Attended Dartmouth college, where he became a lawyer. He is a republican senator from Ohio.

Rob Portman's general platform

Portman is very against abortion and is for pro-life bills. He has never voted against pro-life.

Portman's opinion

Portman opposes the increase f minimum wages, saying "The increase would cause job losses among young people."

Portman supports the Keystone pipeline project saying that it would create many much needed jobs in the area.

Reelection

Portman is up for reelection in 2016, with both of these issues being minor issues for his campaign.
