Huntingburg City Transit

Public Transportation for all ages!

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this Covid 19 pandemic.

Below is our policy for all riders, upon our reopening on May 11th, 2020

We are happy to be back and ready to serve you!

THE SAFETY OF TRANSIT STAFF AND OUR PASSENGERS ARE OF THE UTMOST PRIORITY.

AS WE MOVE FORWARD SERVING THE CITIZENS OF HUNTINGBURG WITH TRANSIT NEEDS, WE WOULD LIKE TO INFORM YOU OF THE FOLLOWING:

· TRANSIT STAFF ARE INCREASING THE FREQUENCY OF CLEANING VEHICLES. VEHICLES WILL BE DISINFECTED WITH A FOCUS ON HIGH-TOUCH AREAS SUCH AS BUTTONS, HANDHOLDS, RAILS, ETC.

· WE ARE ASKING EVERYONE TO TAKE PERSONAL HEALTH PREPAREDNESS STEPS. WHILE RIDING TRANSIT, FACE MASKS MUST BE WORN - PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE. YOU SHOULD COVER YOUR COUGHS AND SNEEZES. PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING. IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS OF THE COVID VIRUS, PLEASE STAY HOME AND CALL YOUR HEALTHCARE PROVIDER.

· DUE TO THE SMALL, ENCLOSED ENVIRONMENT OF THE VANS, WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO BE EXTRA DISCERNING AND CONSIDERATE WHEN YOU ARE EXPERIENCING COLD OR FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS.

· PERSONS AT HIGHER RISK OF SEVERE ILLNESS SHOULD STAY HOME AND AWAY FROM GROUPS OF PEOPLE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, INCLUDING PUBLIC PLACES WHERE THERE WILL BE CLOSE CONTACT WITH OTHERS.

THIS PRACTICE WILL CONTINUE FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE AS PART OF THE TRANSIT DEPARTMENT’S ONGONG EFFORTS TO SUPPORT THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF PASSENGERS, EMPLOYEES, AND THE COMMUNITY.

Thank You to all of our wonderful passengers for making 2019 a success!
