ELOP Newsletter - Spring 2023
Alternative Programs & Support
Expanded Learning Opportunity Programs (ELOP)
Our goal is to allocate these funds to support your sites in a variety of ways including through your before and after-school programs, increasing your ability to offer clubs and activities, and to provide an engaging and robust summer ELOP offering - all to the benefit of our students.
If you need a copy of the UDP students at your site, please contact us and we can provide that to you.
ELOP Signature Practice Funding Request 2023
If you are interested in expanding any of your existing signature practices to support students in your before and after-school programs, please complete the application form linked below. Once we receive your responses, we will send you the necessary forms to order materials/supplies. Our goal is to support the work you are doing at your sites, however, it is not a guarantee that EVERYTHING you list will be approved so be prepared to discuss the items you would like to purchase.
This form should be completed and submitted by Thursday, March 30, 2023. We also greatly appreciate forms submitted prior to the deadline to expedite processing and ordering.
NOTE: This is intended to allow you to support your signature practices year-round. There will be a separate process for ordering materials and hiring staff for your individual summer ELOP offerings.
Clubs and After School Activities
If you would like to work with an outside group to provide activities (ie, ChessMasters, etc), give us a call and we can help you with the process - you do not have to complete the form below for outside user groups. Keep in mind that the process to bring outside groups on board can sometimes be a lengthy one.
All activities and clubs must take place outside of school hours for students and we will cover up to 6 hours a week (including prep time) for each staff member. If you need assistance with materials or supplies for the clubs or activities, contact our office.

ELOP Summer Program
The schedule is set for our upcoming summer ELOP offerings! If you have not done so already, please begin recruiting staff from your site to support the program.
Student recruitment for your program must be offered first to your UDP population. Once that outreach has taken place, you can open recruitment up to all students at your site.
As you identify staff who will be participating in support of your students, please complete your school info on the document linked below on the "button" in the same manner you did last summer. Input as much information as you know at this time on the first tab listing all sites, and enter additional information in the tab for your respective site.
Your site will submit the Personnel Requisition. We will provide up to 10 hours of prep time for your summer ELOP staff and 20 hours of prep time for your Lead Teacher. The budget strings you will need can be found on the "ELOP Schedule & Staffing Updates" document linked on the button below. At the conclusion of the ELOP summer program, your site will submit the timecards to payroll. If you need assistance with this process or additional information, we will be happy to help.

The form to order supplies for your summer program can be found and downloaded HERE. Please submit one form for each vendor you plan to order from. The order forms are due to Ryan Medina by THURSDAY, April 6, 2023. We GREATLY appreciate early submissions of the forms so we can process everything in a timely manner to ensure all orders arrive on time.
Finally, as we did last year, we will be supporting your programs with before and after-school coverage through the SACC and ASES programs to ensure we meet the requirement to offer a full 9-hour day for our students.
