2017 Superintendent Award Winner

GCS proudly congratulates Lucy Patterson a sixth-grade student here at Goshen Center School. Lucy is extremely kind, compassionate and empathetic toward others. She treats everyone she encounters with equal amounts of dignity and respect. Her strong work ethic and perseverance both in and out of the classroom make her a role model for her peers. Lucy is active in the school community. She participates in band and jazz band. In addition, Lucy has been an active member of the GCS Student Council for several years, most recently taking on the role of secretary. Congratulations Lucy!

American Red Cross Pillowcase Project

This week our students in grade 3 -5 attended a free interactive preparedness program sponsored by American Red Cross volunteers. The program aimed to increase awareness and understanding of natural hazards, teach safety and emotional coping skills, as well as the importance of personal preparedness. Through an instructor-led presentation, students learned the best ways to stay safe, how to handle stressful situations, and what tools they can use at home to prepare for emergencies.

Middle School Mixer

On Friday, February 24th, Wamogo is proud to host the 1st annual Middle School Mixer: Dinner and a Movie. This event is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and features a full pasta dinner and a movie to follow directly after. The price is $15 per person with concessions for sale right before and during the movie, the proceeds will help support student activities. Come join your friends and peers for a night of food and fun! Dinner will be from 6:00pm until 7:00pm in the Wamogo cafeteria. The movie will start at 7:15pm in the auditorium. Pickup will be 9:15 in the BACK of the building. If you have any questions, please forward them to Steven Bagley at Sbagley@rsd6.org .

Mission Statement: The mission of the GOL Seed CO is to provide organic, raw nutritional Garden of Life sunflower seeds and reach out to help others in need. Through the purchase of the seed packets, our plan is to continue our support to local soup kitchens and food banks, and to support the Syrian Orphan Organization (https://www.syrianorphans.org/) through donations raised.

This project was started and coordinated by 6th graders.

All K-6 students are helping to weigh seeds and make packets.
