Charactistics of behavior/ Personality:characterized by a distorted body image, with an unwarranted fear of being overweight.Trying to maintain a below-normal weight, people with anorexia nervosa may starve themselves or exercise too much.

Symptoms:dry skin, brittle nails, laxative abuse, dry hair, headache, slow heart rate, dieting, bruising, or sensitivity to cold

Long term effects:Heart problems,Bone loss,In females, absence of a period,In males, decreased testosterone,Gastrointestinal problems,Electrolyte abnormalities,Kidney problems,Suicide
