MAVERICK MEMO
FROM MR. WALDMAN'S DESK
Hello Mavericks!
We are adding this "MAVERICK MEMO" to the ways that we at Smart's Mill will be conveying information about upcoming events at our school. Please click on the "Upcoming Events" link to view the school's calendar. There will also be memos from each grade level dean to highlight some of the things that are going on in each house area. The house level newsletters will be monthly, and this MAVERICK MEMO will be weekly.
Deliberate Optimism Book Talk
All of the teachers are taking part in a book talk on Deliberate Optimism by Debbie Silver. This PD will culminate in the author visiting our school on March 3rd during the county-wide staff development day.
Friday was Windy!
Mr.Guinther's son sent us a picture taken by a local parent of the tornado that caused all of the damage last Friday.
Who is this Newton Guy?
Here are some of our 8th grade students experimenting with force and motion during Science class.
