Parking and Driving
Families who drop students off in the morning are asked to use the drop-off loop, rather than dropping off in the parking lot. Dropping off in the parking lot causes traffic to snag, and it presents a danger to students and staff walking through the lot, particularly in bad weather.
All drivers are reminded that parking in the grass is never okay. Parking in the grass and overnight parking will result in towing at the vehicle owner's expense.

Big Takeaways
- We should prepare ourselves mentally before setting goals because if we don't truly believe our goals are possible, then it doesn't matter what goals we set.
- Most people don't reach their goals because adversity makes them feel like the goal is not possible.
- A "limiting belief" is a belief we can have about ourselves that says we aren't capable of a certain thing.
- By first identifying our limiting beliefs, we can then identify when and where they creep into our lives.
- Our brains have a function called "neuroplasticity," which basically means that adversity and failure are the information that our brains need to learn, grow, and improve.
How to Keep the Conversation Going at Home
- Challenge your child when they say they "can't" do something.
- Redirect them by telling them that they just can't do it "yet."
- Continue to encourage your child to embrace failure.
- Praise your child based on effort, rather than results.

Family Feedback
Families, we want to hear from you. We do our best to support our students and families, however we know at times there are things we might miss, related to academic needs, friendships and relationships, mental health, and safety. Your voice is important to us as we reflect on what we can do better to support our students and families. We know that we can best support kids when we work in partnership with families and the community.
