Peek At The Week
April 7, 2019
Team,
This week marks our first round of STAAR testing. I implore you to be at work this week. Not everyone is fully certified, therefore we need everyone to be at work! Just like Mrs. Walker from Region 6 said on her messages to you last week! you have given the students every piece of knowledge you have. Now it's time to see the fruits of all of your hard work.
There will be no PLC's Monday-Thursday this week. There will be no Interventions this week Monday-Thursday. You will be meeting with your appraiser over the next few days. Please be prepared for your meeting. See the email and/or the notice that was put in your box, that was given last week
We will be providing Breakfast items for you on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Please be sure to stop by and eat!
This week we will be celebrating Mrs. Stanley, #bestAP! Be sure to wish her a great week as she is move than deserving of acknowledgement for all she does.
In a few surveys that have come out of late, there seems to be some confusion as to what I expect from staff at Shepherd Middle School. It's really only two people on each survey, but I want to be sure to state them clearly.
- Safety- Keep all of us safe at all times.
- Instruction- Teach our students to the best of your ability. Plan deeply, so that you know how to reach all students (TEKS Guide, HOTQuestions, exemplars, rubrics, Goal Set, Backwards Design)
- Respect- One Team, One Focus; no individual agendas. Part of the solution, not part of a problem.
- Responsibility- Be professional (on time, work the work, grades in on time, communicate, lesson plans entered into Google Classroom, come to work, abide by district policies).
If there are still questions regarding my expectations, please ask!
As always, Teach Happy!
-Denise
