Inclusive Schools Week - December 5th - December 9th

Inclusive Schools Week is an annual event, celebrated each year during the first full week in December. Since its inaugural celebration in 2001, Inclusive Schools Week has celebrated the progress that schools have made in providing a supportive and quality education to an increasingly diverse student population. This provides an important opportunity for educators, students and parents to discuss what else needs to be done in order to ensure that their schools continue to improve their ability to successfully educate all children. Students will discuss inclusion in their guidance lessons this week.

It's time to start talking about Middle School Transition! Mrs. Garnica will be working with all 5th graders and parents to make this a smooth transition. Registration opens December 6th-January 7th. Mrs. Garnica has created a 5th Grade Transition Newsletter for you to reference as well. The newsletter will provide information for Luna Middle School and all of NISD's Magnet Middle Schools. Northside Threads is a clothing closet that is housed at the Northside Family Engagement Center which is a State and Federal Program. It exists to support Northside families and provide clothing to students enrolled in Northside schools.

Currently they are only taking appointments. Please email or call the counselor and she can make you a referral. You will then be able to make an appointment.
