Introduction to Castles
Castles were developed during the Medieval times. The were built by the Normans starting in 1066 in England. They were used as protection against invasions. The castles era started about 1000 years ago and lasted about 500 years. The castles had different types of architecture, which includes towers and narrow halls. The architecture style changed depending on the era and the type of king and kingdom. Allthough life on the inside of the castles were often boring the castles were homes to Kings and royal families.
