DHA News & Updates
Friday 22nd April 2022
Week 2
Book, books and more books. This week has seen DHA hold a 3 day book fair where the students have had the opportunity to browse, buy and read books. On Thursday we celebrated Book Day with staff and students dressing up as their favourite book characters. It is always amazing to see the efforts that our community goes to with their costumes on dress up days.
Many thanks to the parents who supported our community Iftar this week at the Oaks Hotel. It was lovely to gather and spend some time together at this special time.
Events and activities are being added to our calendar to keep us busy this term so please keep on eye on your inboxes for messages and notifications of upcoming events.
Please enjoy the weekend, stay safe, keep well and we look forward to seeing you back at school on Monday for the last week of Ramadan.

Keep us informed
Delayed...delayed...delayed
It's happened to all of us, you get stuck in traffic and are then delayed in getting to school for pick up.
Please call the school and let us know if you are going to be late for normal school or ECA pick up times. We can then inform the teachers and ensure the students are taken to the main reception for late pick up collection.
Absence...absence...absence
Please remember to let us know if your child/children are off sick by emailing absence@dubaiheightsacademy.com before 9:00am on the day.
Community Beach Clean Up
We now have permissions, a date, a beach and a fundraising page for our Community Beach Clean up being held at Kite Beach on Saturday May 14th at 8:00am.
A representative from the Dubai Municipality will be there with us on the day and will weigh all the rubbish that the students have collected and explain to them where it goes next. We will also have activities, prizes and a community picnic on the beach after. We aim to be finished by 10:00am.
We would love if you could sign up to attend the event using the link below.
Next week we will share details of our fundraising page where you can make a donation with all proceeds going to the UNICEF charity WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene).
