A Note From PTA
The 2020-21 school year is almost done! As we prepare for next year, the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is hopeful we will be back to our traditional schedule of events and activities. To be able to do that, we need a large team of volunteers! While we have a strong team taking shape, there are still over a dozen vacant board member and coordinator roles. Would you be willing to take on a role?
We've put together a topline of the open positions, as well as some "FAQs" about taking on a role. Please take a look and consider joining us. The more people that help, the more we can do! If you have any questions about any of the roles, please reach out to president@hppmpta.org.

Summer Meals Program
Richardson ISD will offer summer meals for three weeks in June and again for three weeks in July at seven different campuses across the district.
All children under 18 are eligible for these free meals made possible through a U.S. Department of Agriculture nutrition program and administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
“Richardson ISD children need good nutrition year-round so they can learn, grow and succeed in life,” RISD Executive Director of Child Nutrition Alissa Gustof said. "With nearly 2 million food insecure children living in Texas, these healthy meals are vital to nourishing young Texans during the summer vacation.”
The RISD campuses where these meals will be available include Berkner STEM Academy High School, Big Springs Elementary, Forest Lane Elementary, Prestonwood Elementary, Richardson Heights Elementary, RISD Academy and White Rock Elementary.
Weekdays between Monday, June 7, and Friday, June 25, breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at those seven schools.
Lunch will be available at the six elementary schools during those three weeks in June from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. At Berkner, lunch in June will be available from 12:15 to 1 p.m.
On weekdays from Monday, July 12, to Friday, July 30, breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the six elementary schools, while Berkner will offer breakfast meals from 8 to 8:30 a.m. in July.
Lunch again will be available at the six elementary schools during those three weeks in July from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Berkner will provide lunches between 12:30 and 1 p.m. in July
