LCMS Weekly Newsletter
By Tami Gunset
Dear Parents,
Fall is in the air and we start a new month this week. We are having a great semester that seems to be flying by.
We will have posted your child's six-week progress report to Family Access by Tuesday:
Log in to Family Access
Go to Portfolio
Click on PR 2 Report 2020-2021
*We will not be sending PR2 home with students, so please view online!
Please encourage your student to come to school early (7:55am) or stay late (until 4:20pm) with their teachers so they can get some work completed before the end of this NINE-week grading period.
Let me know if you have any questions. Have a fabulous week!
Carpet Tech is Giving Away FREE Whole House Cleanings to Honor Educators
That’s why Carpet Tech is encouraging our communities to nominate a teacher who has made a significant impact on them or their children. Each week in each Carpet Tech market, we will choose at random a nominated educator to feature on our social media pages and award them with a free whole house floor cleaning and disinfecting from Carpet Tech.
“Whether your teacher is face to face in the classroom, teaching remotely or both, we want to know how they are making a difference for your family,” said Stephanie Henderson, Carpet Tech Operations Officer. “Carpet Tech is privileged to be a part of this community, Henderson continued. “Our primary mission is not to clean carpets, it’s to serve people.”
Educator nominations are being accepted here:

or
on Carpet Tech’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages.
*** Please take a moment to nominate an educator!!!
How the Program Works
Every month this school year, we will select three winners-one in elementary, one in middle school/junior high, and one in high school. These winners can come from any school district in the area-even private schools. We then plan surprise presentations for the winning teachers and students. We try to make these presentations as big as possible from an all-school assembly, to a part of a pep rally, to even halftime at a high school football game! For now, presentations will likely be scaled back due to COVID-19 and campus restrictions. But we are doing everything we can do ensure your teachers get the recognition they deserve.
Teachers On The Rise winners receive great prizes including a $100 United Supermarkets Shopping Spree, a lunch for two to the private Texas Tech Club, and a gift basket full of products and goodies from Mrs Baird's Bread. To encourage students to enter their teachers, we give each student who nominates a winning teacher a $50 American Express gift card.
How to Enter
Students are able to log onto our website: www.MrsBTeacher.com and write a short essay on how their teacher(s) go above and beyond the call of duty. What better way for students to express appreciation for their teachers?
