Division 2 has a total of 15 clubs! This is a big change from to 10 we had last year, but I belive that if we all do our best, we can make a huge impact on the Great Alabama District this year!
Current Goals
Online Elections
Our main focus right now is electing officers for the 20-21 service year! Due to the unfortunate circumstances we are currently under, this will have to be done online. I suggest using an app such as Zoom or Google Meets, but it is each club's choice! In order to allow sufficient time for training, officers should be elected no later than May 31st. If this deadline is not possible for your club, please let me know! Please let me know the date and time of your online elections so that I can attend!
Officer Training
Once officers are elected, I will begin training sessions. These sessions will be divided up into each posistion (President, Vice President, Secretary, etc). We will cover topics such as the duties of office, District and Division information, District and Division goals, KCI inormation, and more! I is very important for each officer to attend training. Every officer posistion is important and influential when done properly.
Monthly Team Meetings
I will be hosting montly team meetings on Zoom. All club officers and members are strongly encouraged to attend these meetings. Our last meeting was on April 23rd at 6:00 PM. We discussed some of the information mentioned above and attendees also met Governor Shannon Lee, Secretary Sierra Albus, and Editor Nikhita Chintereddy! All attendees had the oportunity to share ideas, ask questions, and recive District and International updates while in a group setting. Our last meeting was so much fun, and I cannot wait for our next one! (Date to be announced soon). Click the button below to view the Team Meeting Minutes for April 23, 2020!
Senior Spotlight (Current & Rising Seniors)
Seniors, your time in Key Club is coming to an end, but don't fret, there's more! The K-Family consists of two clubs for adults to join after high school!
Circle K International
Circle K International is a college level, student lead service organization. Like Key Club, they have Club level, District level, and International level positions and opportunities for members to be a part of. Circle K's motto is "Live to Serve, Love to Serve." and their mission is to "develop college and university students into a global network of responsible citizens and leaders with a lifelong commitment to service." Circle K is a great opportunity for college students to be a part of, and I encourage you all to join! As a rising Senior myself, I will be making plans to join Circle K.
Kiwanis
Ah, Kiwanis, the start of it all! Kiwanis is the parent organization of each piece of the K-Family (K-Kids, Builders Club, Key Club, Circle K, and Aktion Club). Kiwanis was founded in 1915, and still serves as one of the largest service organizations in the world! Kiwanis' motto is "Serving the children of the world." and their mission is to be "a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time." Like Key Club, Kiwanis has Club level, District level, and International level positions and opportunities for members to be a part of. I encourage all of you to join Kiwanis either after high school, or after Circle K. Kiwanis is, after all, the reason we are able to do everything we do in Key Club.

Due to the severity of the COVID-19 situation, Key Club, and Kiwanis International have made the difficult desicion to cancel ICON 2020. The 2020 International Officers will be voted on by the I-Council (Governors, International Trustees, International President, etc) in the near future. Please join us instead at ICON 2021 to be held in Orlando, Florida!
