What is the Purpose?

"based upon eating wholesome, contemporary foods from the food groups that our hunter-gatherer ancestors would have thrived on during the Paleolithic era, or Stone Age" To only eat foods that are grown, not processed. Or foods such as grains.

Reasons? The science behind it all

The reasons for this is to help the consumption of low fat high sugar products that can potently cause a lot of health problems. there is also more weight loss with a low carb diet like the Paleo Diet.

Foods eaten/avoided with the Paleo Diet

OK TO EAT

-The occasional diet soda

-Sweet Potatoes

- Starchy vegetables

-Grass-produced meats

- Fish/Seafood

- FRESH Fruits and vegetables

- Eggs

- Nuts and Seeds

- Healthful Oils (Olive, Walnut, Flaxseed, Macadamia, Avocado, Coconut)

- Water

AVOIDED

- Cereal Grains

- Legumes ( including peanuts)

- Dairy

- Refined Sugar

- Potatoes

- Processed foods

- salts

- Refined Vegetables


Bad review

A lot of the farmers do not believe in the Paleo Diet because they think that people are saying that they are bad for doing there job of farming, and are hurting our bodies with the grains and other food they produce, that have to be processed, and have artificial things to be added to them
