Big Picture Learning
A workshop for teachers on how to help process big ideas
Monday the 25th, from 6pm-9pm
Come this Monday for a chance to learn how to use concept maps to help students collaboratively analyze big picture ideas and frameworks. This tool can be used at many stages of the learning process and is applicable to a wide variety of content. The workshop will give participants a chance to try the process themselves and will use that experience as a foundation for analyzing its usefulness. The focus will be on how you can use research-based strategies with activities you are already doing in your classroom.
Workshop presented by Kristi Fletcher.
Kristi is a native of Charlottesville, Virginia and graduated from James Madison University in 2004. Since then she has taught in both public and private schools at all age levels in China, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Korea. This workshop is part of an Instructional Design Project for a Master's Degree in International Education from Cairn University.
