Attention Families: Your Input Needed!
Leyden is proactively participating in a districtwide Equity Audit, and we need family feedback as part of the process. Equity is about fairness and inclusion, and removing barriers to leverage access and opportunity for all. The purpose of the Equity Audit is to identify areas of strength and needed improvement when it comes to our efforts to advance educational equity.
Focus Group Participation
Students, staff and families focus groups will be conducted by an outside company. Focus groups consist of about 6-8 families or caregivers to answer specific questions. There are no right or wrong answers to the questions, because they are based on personal experiences and perspectives. Participation in the focus group is voluntary and confidential. There are limited spaces in each slotted focus group. Please complete the following form if you are interested in participating in a focus group:

Survey Feedback
Another way to provide feedback is through surveys. Like the focus group, the survey is about personal experiences and perspectives. The survey tasks approximately 15 minutes. Please click on the following link to complete the SURVEY:
The questions or statements on the surveys are different from the focus groups, therefore, families can choose to participate in both.
"We believe the results from this audit will make Leyden an even better place to support all of our students and anticipate receiving the results at the end of the 2022-2023 school year," said Director of Human Resources Dr. Celestina Rivera.
For questions about the focus groups, please contact Dr. Rivera at 847-451-3090 or crivera@leyden212.org.
