Early Birds, We Need Your Help
We are asking for your help with our morning drop-off. Our drop off lane gets so packed with idling cars waiting for the gates to open that staff (and parents coming for a before school meeting) are unable to get into the parking lot because idle line backs up to the street.
Can you please help us keep our drop off zone moving? If you would like to wait until the gates open, please idle off campus, then join the drop off lane when you are ready to drop off your children. Beginning this week, our security attendant will ask parents to keep moving (much like an airportβs drop-off lane).
Thank you so much for your help!

Own Your Words and Actions
The first O in BRONCO stands for Own Your Words and Actions. Piggybacking on last month's focus of "Responsible," Own Your Own Words and Actions puts a finer point on this important life school for our children. Watch this short video from RocketKids with your Bronco and ask about situations where it's tempting to place the blame on others.

Printed Report Cards Are Back!
These Broncos have decided to buck at least one digital trend. We are printing report cards starting this trimester. You will receive your copy at your parent conference.
Halloween Parade 10/31
Students are welcome to wear costumes to school on Halloween (within reason) π . Just remember that we have 4 year-old TK kiddos at Highland, so nothing too scary or gory please π Please avoid face painting that could get in their eyes as they play and sweat at recess. You are invited to watch the brief parade in front of our campus. Just remember that we have 4 year-old TK kiddos at Highland, so nothing too scary or gory please π
Show Your Love for PTA!
Highland's PTA does so much to make elementary school an experience filled with special memories for our Broncos. If you have not already, please support our PTA with a reasonably priced membership!
