All things you need to no about RAM...
Acronym for random access memory, which is a type of memory in which a reader can go to a specific item without having to start at the beginning. Random access memories can often be altered once an item is found.
Types of RAM
There are two types of RAM
- DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory)
- SRAM (Static Random Access Memory).
A data storage device for which the order of access to different locations does not affect the speed of access
DRAM is a storage device. A type of semiconductor memory in which the information is stored in capacitors on a MOS integrated circuit.
SRAM is a storage device. It is called "static" because it will retain a value as long as power is supplied, unlike dynamic random access memory (DRAM) which must be regularly refreshed.
