Year 6 rehearsing for the Christmas Spectacular!
Believe it or not, next week is the final week of Autumn Term. Some key dates are Wednesday 19th, when we have our Christmas services in church and Friday 21st, when children are invited to come into school all day in their 'Christmas clothes' for the PTA discos on the afternoon. For other important dates and events, please scroll down this newsletter.
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend - I'll see you all next week for the last week of term!
Firstly a massive thank you to everyone who voted for us on the Aviva community fund for the defibrillator – as a result of everyone’s votes we made it through to the finals! This is such exciting news and it’s now down to the panel of judges to decide which projects get the funding and we’ll find out the results from 24th January onwards.
The Christmas discos are in school time on Friday 21st December and there is no cost for the children to attend. As usual KS2 children will have the opportunity to buy items at their disco and are therefore welcome to bring in up to £5.00 spending money.
The times of the discos are:
KS1 13.30 - 14.15
KS2 14.15 - 15.00
Important christmas dates
Tuesday 18th December - 9:30 - 10:30 and 2:00 - 3:00pm - Key Stage 1 (Y1 & 2) Christmas performance
Wednesday 19th - Christmas Services in church:
1:15 - 2:00pm - Foundation Stage and KS1 and 2:00 - 2:45pm - KS2
Friday 21st December - children to wear Christmas clothes / non uniform
It has always been important to us to provide regular voice and influence opportunities which are then used to determine future priorities and action planning for our local Cluster community and targeted services. Now that we have converted to become part of the Red Kite Learning Trust and rebranded as the Temple Newsam Community Partnership we would like to collect views from colleagues, partners, children, young people, parents and carers to ensure that we continue to meet the needs of our local community. There is an online survey below - we would really appreciate it if you could take a minute or two to complete this for us. All feedback will remain anonymous and we will only use personal details to send the restaurant voucher out if you win it in our prize draw!
house reward winners - orion!
All children in Orion house are invited to come to school wearing some red, their house colour, on Monday.
The children will enjoy a movie screening and a snack.
All parents who have children in Orion should have received a letter today, in case you missed it, it can be found below.

The second document details a range of courses available in Spring and Summer term.
payments to school
This means that you will be able to pay for school dinners and trips online. In keeping with the vast majority of schools, we intend to become an increasingly 'cashless' organisation.
If you need access to a device or require any support in logging in, please let a member of the front office admin team know.
