NEXT SCHOOL YEAR - QUESTIONS AND SURVEY
As we work our way to the end of this exceptionally different school year, I know many of you are wondering what school will look like next year and when we will be able to go back. Unfortunately (as has been often true during this unprecedented crisis), we have more questions than answers. Here’s what we do know:
We all want to be together again...we miss your amazing students!
Currently, our school calendar is unchanged. The school year ends on June 3 and next school year is slated to begin on August 31.
Our hard working educators are working on what we are calling our MSD Recovery Plan, which is a document that outlines some of the many considerations we face as we move toward fall. Some of those considerations include plans for social distancing, plans for the possibility of staggered schedules, and for continuing to offer online learning. Please feel free to take a look.
We will develop Medford Anywhere Learning to make it the best online option for students possible, if needed for the long-term.
We are awaiting guidance from the state on when we can reopen buildings and what will be required of us before we do. As we work on preparing for many different scenarios, we are asking for your feedback. Please take this survey (Spanish) for each student in your household to let us know how the at-home-learning is going for your family and how we can better support you.
Thank you for your flexibility, partnership, and grace as we all navigate this to the best of our abilities.
IMPORTANT DATES
GRAD DRIVE DETAILS FOR THE CLASS OF 2020!
Do you have a senior? Please ask them to check their MSD Gmail accounts or click the link below to sign up for Grad Drive 2020! To honor the MSD tradition of “Grad Walk” (seniors wear caps and gowns and walk the halls of their elementary and middle schools), on May 29th we will host “Grad Drive” for the Class of 2020 (Time TBD, after 2 PM). Seniors will have the opportunity to ride through town in buses and visit their old elementary and middle schools, ending the drive at their respective high schools. Teachers will stand on sidewalks and cheer them on! Buses will be decorated with giant decals of students’ senior photos! Masks are strongly encouraged (If your student is immuno-compromised, please let us know and we will ensure that everyone on that bus is wearing a mask); the district will supply masks. Seniors interested in participating, sign up by clicking the link for your school: Central North South! You will need to sign in with your MSD549C account. More details to come.
VIRTUAL PROM THIS WEEKEND!

Though state guidelines do not allow students to gather for a traditional dance experience, we are committed to honoring the memory making that students hold dear.
