FBMS & MPSD PUBLIC SAFETY
This week the FBMS School Community conducted a public safety check.
The safety and well-being of our FBMS students and staff members is our first priority. The idea of safety is at the core of the district's mission statement which notes: "Marshfield Public Schools provide a safe, healthy, and collaborative learning environment that fosters respect and responsibility, empowering all to achieve their maximum potential."
The FBMS Leadership Team, partnering with the Marshfield Police Department and local law enforcement, conducted a random drug search of the school this week by trained police canines. The search was done to ensure our school environment is safe and most conducive to learning. The dogs used are well trained and passive in nature. The search was done while students were in classrooms. We want to remind our school community that this is not in response to a problem but rather to continue to send a strong message that drugs will not be tolerated within our school.
Thank you for your cooperation in supporting us to ensure we keep our schools and most importantly our students safe.
