Please join the entire Northlake Christian Middle School student body, faculty, and administration in the 1st Annual Family Heritage Day Celebration on Thursday, March 24, 2016 beginning in the Wood Gym at Northlake Christian School at 1:00pm.


Family Heritage Day will be a chance for students to share and celebrate their background and heritage with classmates and their families. We would like to invite parents, grandparents, and family members to join us as students share their Heritage Day projects which include information about one of their families' countries of heritage - its music, dance, dress, food, art, and recreation.

The Family Heritage Day festivities will begin in the Wood Gym of Northlake Christian School at 1:00pm. The Family Heritage Day festivities will begin in the Wood Gym at 1:00pm. After a short presentation, our guests will be escorted to the Middle School classrooms which will house the students' projects about the various countries of our heritage as well as fun activities, student presentations, and even some food samplings from the different regions.

Students may be checked out starting at 2:15pm from the classrooms. Middle School car line will begin for other students at 2:30pm.

Family Heritage Day Projects

As part of our first annual Heritage Day celebration, each middle school student will research important aspects of ONE country where his or her family’s traditions and cultures are derived. There will be several stages/steps to this project with the culminating activity being the oral presentation of the projects on Thursday, March 24th. After a short kick-off presentation in the Wood Gym, guests will be escorted to the Middle School classrooms which will house the students' projects about the various countries of our heritage as well as fun activities, student presentations, and even some food samplings from the different regions.
