YOU ARE INVITED!
Family Heritage Day will be a chance for students to share and celebrate their background and heritage with classmates and their families. We would like to invite parents, grandparents, and family members to join us as students share their Heritage Day projects which include information about one of their families' countries of heritage - its music, dance, dress, food, art, and recreation.

Family Heritage Day Projects
As part of our first annual Heritage Day celebration, each middle school student will research important aspects of ONE country where his or her family’s traditions and cultures are derived. There will be several stages/steps to this project with the culminating activity being the oral presentation of the projects on Thursday, March 24th. After a short kick-off presentation in the Wood Gym, guests will be escorted to the Middle School classrooms which will house the students' projects about the various countries of our heritage as well as fun activities, student presentations, and even some food samplings from the different regions.
Each middle school student was required to complete a written essay based on their extensive research on their heritage country of choice.
Each grade level was assigned a specific visual aid project to complete, but all projects had to include information about the culture, language, activities, etc. of the heritage country of choice.
All students are required to present their research findings on their heritage country of choice both in the classroom and during our Family Heritage Day festivities.
