Principal's Message....
Learning at RCES is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!
New at RCES:
As a building, we are focusing on kindness and helping others. RCES Kids Care, our monthly charity, is one of the ways we will be reinforcing these ideas with our students. This charity work is completely voluntary.

SOCKTOBER
Socktober is a nationwide program where students collect NEW socks (any size, color or pattern) for local shelters. Socks are the MOST NEEDED item at shelters in the winter months.
We will be collecting socks until October 31st. The donation boxes are located by the front doors near the office.

A note on Halloween costumes at RCES......
Students in grade K-5 will BRING their costumes to school and change for the parade. We don't want any costumes ruined during our Fun Fair or at lunch. All costumes must be school appropriate (school dress code still applies). No scary masks, weapons, or face paint will be allowed! These things can be added to costumes after school for trick-or-treating! Please remember that our school has very young students that scare easily.
To help with the changing process, please have your child practice putting on their costume over their school clothes before October 31st. There will be a lot of staff to help with costumes, but it is easier if our students understand how to put it on before the parade. If the day is cold, the students will wear coats over their costumes to keep them warm.
