CALLING ALL DADS!!!
Dear Fathers and Father-figures,
On Tuesday, March 29th from 6:00 – 7:00 pm close to 40 Dads attended our WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students) Program Pizza Night Kick-off. Dad's were given a brief presentation of the the program and many already signed up to be WATCH D.O.G.S. If you would like for information on this event, go to www.fathers.com and visit the WATCH D.O.G.S site. CES coordinator is Mr. Daniel Levy, Special Ed teacher. He can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
WATCH D.O.G.S.® is an innovative program being used by schools across America which helps them to be positively impacted by the committed involvement of fathers and father-figures in their student’s life. Our goal is to have you spend at least one day this year at the school to be a positive male role model and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears.
24 Challenge Game
Fourth graders have been busy learning the strategies and number patterns necessary to play and win the 24 Game. In order to match our talents with fourth grade students from the other elementary schools and fifth graders at EP, we held a mini-competition to find the best and quickest at solving 24 cards. Thirty students met and competed under the supervision of Mr. Zimmer and Mrs.Golden in the building semi-finals. The top seven students will then compete to find the top four students at Cheltenham Elementary. The district competition will be held at Elkins Park School, Monday, April 4, 2016.
Congratulations! Good Luck!! Keep on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing!!
