FUNDRAISER UPDATE!

Thank you so much to everyone who spread the word about our PTO fall fundraiser! We have raised over 86,000 as of Friday morning! WOW!!!! This money will support Field Trips for all students, our garden and lessons in the garden, as well as professional development for our teachers to improve teaching and learning! We are so thankful to our families for all of your support! As you can see below, the fundraiser will continue through September 29th and then we will celebrate with ALL students (whether or not they participated) with a Day of Awesomeness on November 2nd where students will get to play on some fun play on some fun blow ups!

Morning Car Rider Arrival

Our instructional day begins at 8:15. Please ensure your student arrives in time to walk back to their classroom and be seated by 8:15. If you arrive after 8:15, please park and walk your student into the building to sign them in. Thank you for your help in ensuring that all of our Redhawks don't miss out on instruction! We want them here!

Student Drop-Offs

Please remember that we do not accept drop-offs for students, as we do not have extra staff members that can take items back to the classrooms. You are more than welcome to come at your student's lunchtime if you are wanting to bring their lunch to them. Thank you!

Mid-Year GT Referral Window

The Mid-Year GT Referral window is open until November 30, 2022. This opportunity applies to any 1st-5th grade student who has not tested in the 2022-2023 academic school year. All kindergarten students will be screened in the spring. A parent referral form is not needed for kindergarten students.

If you would like your students tested for HORIZONS, please complete the attached form and return to anndrea.searby@cfisd.net or cherise.garcia@cfisd.net.

Junior Achievement

Want to volunteer in the classroom this year? Interested in teaching 30-45 minute lessons to your child and their class about opportunities for civic engagement and life skills? We need classroom volunteers for all classes K - 5th! If this is something you're interested in doing please visit the Rennell PTO Website below and click the Volunteer tab at the top. The JA Volunteer Sign Up link is posted at the top of the page. We'll be communicating information out late next week about what's involved and training, quick and easy!

· Meet with Dr. Henry, Superintendent of Schools, and other administrators three times a year as a group

· Discuss districtwide issues

· Share useful district information with campuses and the community

· Disseminate district information and provide valuable input to maintain quality education for children and the community
