Review

Big Nate The Crowd Goes Wild is about Nate an 11 year-old boy who hold the all time record for detentions in school history and is definitely not a teacher pet. Nate all-time greatest characteristic is that he'll always be one of a kind. Who else would start a band and name it Enslave The Mollusk or celebrate Prank Day by setting up his social studies teacher with a lovesick Rodeo Clown?

Big Nate The Crowd Goes Wild is a Graphic Novel that tells multiple stories about Nate and his adventures. The Big Nate The Crowd Goes While can be compared with the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Series. While it may have some similarities The Big Nate Series is unique in its own way that makes it great. Big Nate The Crowd Goes Wild is Funny, Entertaining, and a Standout Graphic Novel for anyone to read.

Professional Reviews

Buffalolib: In this latest compilation of Big Nate comic strips, Nate pines over Jenny, who prefers exchange-student Arthur; keeps getting into trouble with his homeroom teacher, Mrs. Godfrey; and works very hard at finding ways to goof off and do as little as possible during summer vacation. Big Nate fans will enjoy this full-color collection of comic strips. Young readers who like comical, naughty, and silly cartoon exploits will get a kick out of Nate and his loyal friends as well as his many fr-enemies in this episodic and fast-paced collection.

BooksForHerReviews: It’s easily an automatic 3 star. With Ryder’s top rating, we’ll give it a 4. To get a perfect rating for a children’s book, it would need to be re-readable, somewhat educational and include life lessons. In reading Big Nate myself, it’s definitely for short attention spans … the book is a series of comics combined (for my generation think Calvin and Hobbes) into one book. So there’s really hundreds of short stories in this book and anything to get our kids into a book is good in my eyes!
