Bi-Weekly Update from Ms. Merica
Hello Parkside Families,
It is hard to believe we have met the half way mark for this school year! Our teachers have concluded the 2nd quarter and report cards should be on the way by February 9th.
I look forward to an exciting and busy 3rd quarter. We have been working with our house leaders to build a positive climate and culture here at Parkside. We have solicited student voice through surveys and class meetings. During this quarter, we will begin to implement incentives that students have identified that would aid in building our community. We will continue to focus on daily attendance as we know that attending school on a regular basis is the foundation of success. We will work to celebrate the wins of our students and school community.
We look forward to seeing many of you on Tuesday, February 6th, for our Evening of Exploration. We will be showcasing our content classes with fun, engaging and hands on activities that should be enjoyed by the whole family. This event will run from 5:30-7:00. Hope to see you there.
I hope you have a wonderful week. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at mericaem@pwcs.edu.
Respectfully,
Ms. Merica
"One School, One Purpose; Together We Can!"

ATTENTION PARENTS!
Next week we are going to start testing our 7th Grade English Language Learners.
Here at Parkside we are convinced our English Language Learners are 100% ready to show how proficient in English they have become!
At home, there are some things we believe you can do to help them too. We strongly encourage you to:
- make sure your student's laptop is fully charged.
- make sure your student gets a good nights rest before the test.
- remind your student of the importance of the test and to do their best!
Thank you for partnering with us for your child's success!
