News and Announcements
Join Us For Our Annual Back To School Night!
On behalf of Walnut High School, we are happy to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year! We hope the first two weeks have been a smooth transition for your child. Out of an abundance of caution as we still navigate COVID, we only allow ONE parent/guardian per child to our Back to School Night on September 1. Only ONE parent/guardian can enter the classroom to avoid overcrowding or standing-room-only classrooms.
Our evening will begin promptly at 6:00 pm, starting with 0 period. Our first period will begin at 6:16 pm. This is an excellent opportunity for you to follow your son/daughter's daily schedule and personally meet each teacher, learning about the class, goals, and expectations for the school year. Our student leaders, GLCs, administrators, and performing arts groups will be around campus, helping you find classrooms, answer any questions, and pass out campus maps.
Please click the link below for the official letter, schedule, and campus map as you prepare for Back to School Night.
College Information Night for the Class of 2023 on September 1
Please join us before Back to School Night on September 1 from 5:00 - 6:00 pm in the PAC for our Class of 2023 Parent/Student College Information night. Our Senior GLCs will cover the application process, give advice and specific things to look out for, and answer any questions you may have as our Class of 2023 Mustangs get ready to start applying to colleges.
As we prepare for our presentation on September 1, feel free to CLICK HERE if you have any questions so we can make sure we are covering everything you may want to know.
Help Us With After School Pick Up!
We are working to improve traffic flow in our student parking lot. Starting Monday, we will be using a different traffic pattern within the student parking lot. Please see the map below for two exit options when you pick up your student. As a reminder, please do not park under the solar panels in the front entrance or any red zones.

Nutrition Services' Online Prepayment System
WVUSD Nutrition Services are experiencing some delays with transitioning to their new online prepayment provider, TITAN (family portal).
TITAN (family portal) online prepayment system will replace eFunds.
TITAN (family portal) has more options for parents/guardians to manage their student's account.
If parents/guardians have already made payments using eFunds those payments will be transferred to TITAN.
The money is not missing. Nutrition Services truly apologizes for this inconvenience. In the meantime, parents/guardians can send cash or checks with their students. They also accept payments in their office, Nutrition Services - 880 S. Lemon Ave., Walnut, CA 91789.
Please contact Emmalyn Coles, Director of Nutrition Services, with any questions or concerns.

The student will need to contact the Attendance Department to make any necessary corrections to their individual period attendance. For full-day absences, a parent/guardian must contact the attendance office by the end of the day.
