Argentina- The Music
The sound of Argentina
The Cuarteto
Most popular in the c'ordoba region of Argentina, it closely resembles merengue, the dance it was based off of. The music features accordions, violins, and pianos. This artform has been around for centuries, and is carefully preserved, even today.
Cumbia
Most popular with the lower working classes, this brand of music and dance originally came from Columbia. It features percussion and wood wind instruments, and is similar to American rap, just with that relaxing tropical sound.
