Medications in the Nurse’s Office
As the end of the school year approaches, please remember a parent or guardian must pick up the medicine by 06/01/2022. Policy regulations require the disposal of ALL medication, prescription and non-prescription, which are not picked up. The school cannot store any medication over the summer.
Updated COVID-19 Guidelines
In accordance with guidelines issued by SCDHEC on February 22, 2022, Horry County Schools will discontinue all COVID-19 contact tracing, quarantines, and the Test-to-Stay program beginning Thursday, February 24, 2022. Per the revised SCDHEC guidelines, only students who received a positive test result must isolate at home for a minimum of 5 days. Provided that they are symptom-free, these students may return to school on day 6 if they wear a mask for days 6-10. Parents of a student who received a positive COVID-19 test result should submit the positive test result to the school so that the student’s attendance will be coded correctly. Because of the new SCDHEC guidelines, parents no longer need to submit negative COVID-19 test results to their child’s school.
