Car Safety
By Tyler Tanner
Car safety is the most important thing to remember at all times in this society of ours. The world is full of cars, but lacking the amount of people who know how to safely use cars. Some important topics I want to cover in this informative poster are how to use cars safely and how to prevent deadly car accidents.
More than 25% of all car drivers were involved in car accidents in a five year period.
Txting is not ok!
Texting and driving is about the most irresponsible and unsafe thing you can do!
Always wear your seatbelt.
Seatbelts keep you from going through the window when you crash
Follow the speed limit.
Going to fast or too slow is very dangerous and you can be rewarded with a ticket or a crash.
Every 12 minutes, one person dies because of a car accident. Every 14 seconds, a car accident results in an injured victim.
Many people fail to realize that in 2004 1.2 million people died from car crashes alone. That's 2.2% of all causes of deaths! Many of these crashes were caused by drunk drivers or texting and driving. So don't do it!
REMEMBER!
Always wear your seatbelt! These two were lucky that they were wearing theirs!
Why You Should Always Wear Your Seatbelt - Crash
Only you can prevent car crashes!
In more than half of all car accident fatalities, the deceased were found not to be wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash. Even with seat belts being mandatory, a vast majority of people choose to disregard this safety precaution and end up losing their lives because of it.

Ways you can prevent car crashes:
- Always wear your seat belt
They're there for a reason! Wear them!
- Go the speed limit
If you're going too fast or too slow you can seriously injure someone.
- Don't text and drive
If you take your eyes off the road, even for a second, you can run someone over.
- Don't drink and drive
If you're drinking and driving an automobile, your vision becomes blurred and it becomes harder to see people crossing the road.
- Use your signals
If you don't use your signals, the driver behind you doesn't know what way you are turning, possibly causing a crash.
The majority of car accident victims are the drivers, then the passengers of the car, followed by pedestrians, and lastly cyclists.
