Weld RE-4 Substitute Opportunities - Our District Needs You!
Weld RE-4 has paid openings at every school for substitutes. We can accommodate requests for half-day, full-day, or long-term commitments. You can choose to work in a certified classroom position or serve in a classified support role. We will accommodate school preferences—work in your child’s or grandchild’s school or in a school in your neighborhood. Serving as a substitute, you will make a huge difference for our staff who are currently strained to provide coverage for their colleagues in addition to their regular duties. Our students need you now more than ever, even if you can just give a few hours a couple times a week.
Learn more about available substitute positions here and please attend a substitute information session at the District Office (1020 Main Street) on September 23 from 8:30-10am. We invite you to share this information with anyone in your network interested in supporting Weld RE-4 students.

Kate Baros - Empower
This is Kate’s 8th year of teaching middle school, but her first at SMS. Her background as a middle school ELA teacher has been constantly challenged and expanded through AVID, alternative settings, trauma invested classrooms and English as a second language. She is excited to join SMS as an Empower teacher to really focus on getting kids what they need to be successful beyond the traditional academic standards. Outside of school Kate can be found spending time with her family, husband and daughter (3), in the woods or reading a book.
Sean Flusche - Physical Education
After graduating from Texas A&M University, Sean started his professional career in the health and fitness industry as a personal trainer. During that time he became intrigued in coaching middle school and high school aged kids and decided to pursue a teaching certificate. Sean taught and coached in Texas where he grew up for 10 years before relocating to Colorado. Before coming to Severance MS this year, he taught PE/Health in the Thompson School District, at Windsor HS, and in the Weld RE-9 School District. He also coached varsity football at Mountain View HS and Resurrection Christian HS in Loveland. Besides teaching PE/Health at Severance MS, he also coaches varsity football at Severance HS. Sean’s hobbies include coaching football, hiking, working out, outdoor activities, and spending time with his family and friends.

Brandi Rennemeyer
Brandi is the Spanish teacher here at SMS. This is her second year with Weld Re-4 and fourth year in education. Prior to teaching, she worked for the Department of Human Services in Denver, Castle Rock and here in Northern Colorado. She began developing her second language in 10th grade Spanish class with Señora Sprock. It wasn’t always easy, in fact she wanted to quit. But her mother wouldn’t let her. Turns out moms know what they are talking about. She continued her studies at Colorado State University and later worked for 8 years with monolingual Spanish-speaking families in Denver. She most recently completed her Graduate studies through Liberty University in Virginia. She has traveled throughout Latin America and loves exploring the world through the lense of a second language. Brandi and her husband have lived in Windsor for the last 14 years and love playing golf and going to the lake with their three children.
