Assessment Update
RICAS Math for students in Grades 3, 4, & 5 is scheduled for Tuesday May 14th and Wednesday May 15th. Please continue to keep up the positive and respectful testing environment.
Also remember that our benchmarking period opens the following week. It is hard to believe we we are getting near to the end of the school year.
School Improvement Update
Our SIT will meet on Tuesday, May 14th at 3:30pm in the library. To date, we have achieved our goals for this year. Our meeting will be dedicated to writing the plan for the 2019-2020 school year.
Fractions Webinar
Fractions remain a vexing content area for teachers and students. One way to gain some clarity on how to instruct fractions can be found in the webinar below. Please make sure you watch soon, as the window to view closes in just a few days.
Logging PD Hours
Please make sure you submit your 5.5 PD hours not later than May 15th. Thank you to those that have already done so. The deadline is quickly approaching, so please make sure this is complete.
Spring Cleaning
Please continue to purge your classroom of antiquated materials and other assorted items. Remember, if you haven't used it in the past 12 months- it likely merits being disposed of. If you need boxes for this purpose, either let Brent or I know. If you have boxes of junk ready to go, please place these items in boxes and write "discard" on the front. Please then place these clearly marked items in the hallway and notify the office. We will then promptly remove these items. The more we do now, the easier the end of the year is for everyone. Thank you!
