With the cooler weather this week it has been so great to see so many of our students wearing their LMS hoodies. If you did not order a hoodie or other spirit gear don't worry, we will have another fundraiser in January. Progress report grades were uploaded by teachers on Friday afternoon. As we begin the countdown to Thanksgiving Break,and the end of the semester, please remind your student that if they are struggling in a particular course their teachers are here to help them to be successful in their classes. Please remind your student that tutoring is available with their teachers and through the online service offered by the district. It is also very important that our Rams be in their classes ready to learn when the tardy bell rings. On a positive note, the new building is near completion, and we are very excited to welcome our Rams to the new building after the Thanksgiving Break. Finally, at our last Parent Engagement Group Meeting many parents expressed an interest in either letterman jackets for LMS students or patches for students that already had a letterman jacket. Information about ordering patches and/or a letterman jacket will be coming to our students through their CTE classes this week.

I hope this message finds you doing well! Many students have been inquiring about ways to improve their grades since it is progress report time. Checking HAC and Schoology multiple times per week will help students stay current with missing assignments. Reaching out to their teacher regarding tutoring sessions and utilizing the NISD Online Tutoring Support are all great ways of reinforcing classroom learning.
