Teacher Feature: Mr. Colton Pouncy
This is Mr. Pouncy's second year working as an ag teacher and while in the classroom, you can find him teaching our advanced animal science, career prep, and livestock production courses. Durocs are Mr. Pouncy's favorite livestock species and he is on a mission to get more students to share the same affinity for the red-haired, floppy-eared pigs. If Mr. Pouncy had more time, he would love to be in the outdoors hunting, fishing, playing golf, and working out. He tries to participate in these activities as much as he can! One of Mr. Pouncy's goals is to travel to Europe (he is a huge history buff) to see Greece and Italy and see all the ancient artifacts that are found there.
Mr. Pouncy is much appreciated around here. He is always willing to help and answer any and all of your questions in a knowledgeable and thorough manner. We are lucky to have him on staff.

Thank a Teacher Contest...
Vote now between now and March 31st and help Mr. Hawkins win a $500 prize. This past year, we saw teachers rise to extraordinary heights, showing their commitment to educate and inspire students. San Antonio Magazine and Texas State University want to honor those educators.
Teacher education has been paramount to Texas State’s mission since the school’s founding in 1899, and today it prepares more dedicated, dynamic new teachers than any university in the Lone Star State, over 900 each year.
The nominations for outstanding San Antonio-area teachers are in, and now it is time to vote! Choose your favorite below and be sure to share with friends and family so they can vote, too. You can vote once per hour every day through March 31.
The teacher with the most votes will receive $500!
