Message from Superintendent Fields

As we wrap up the 6th week of school and enter into Fall Break, I want to take this opportunity once again to thank everyone for making this school year happen. From our outstanding BGISD team members who have worked as hard as ever to make our hybrid schedule and Virtual Academy work, to our students and parents who have been supportive, patient, and responsive to all of the twists and turns we have faced. As you can see by the data on the corresponding charts, we have been able to safely return to in-person school and limiting the number of COVID-19 cases and subsequent exposures. With all of us working together as a school district and community, we are giving our young people an opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed in spite of this pandemic.

Thank you for believing in us and trusting us to care for your children each day. It's a great day to be a PURPLE.

-Gary Fields
