Hello Mustangs,
It is unbelievable that next week is our last full week of school! Monday, May 30, is Memorial Day and school is closed. Tuesday, May 31, is our last full day of school with June 1 and June 2 being half days with dismissal at 11:00 AM on each of those days. Please note that only breakfast will be served on these half days.
Our Relay for Life team, both students and adults, rocked! MES was a silver team as together we raised over $4,000.00 for this cause! Many thanks to all!
A special thanks goes to our SIC for the grounds beautification project that they completed yesterday. Even though the weather was less than ideal, SIC members, volunteers, and RBHS students put out pine straw, weeded, and raked. The front of the school looks great!
Thank you to our students, parents, and Boosterthon team for making this year's Boosterthon Fun Run a most awesome success!! Many of our parents and grandparents were here to cheer on our students as they eagerly and energetically ran laps. Emails will be sent out about number of laps completed by each student with total pledges calculated. Final pledges are due by Thursday, May 26. We are up to a little over $25,000 and our goal is $26,000. Please make checks payable to MES PTO and remember to write the student's name in the memo line on the check.
We are looking forward to our Spring Arts Festival on Monday, May 23, at6:30 PM in the cafeteria! Our teachers and students have been working hard, and this showcase of our students talents will ROCK!
Have a wonderful weekend, rest, and read! I look forward to seeing our smiling Mustangs on Monday!
