The final category of "firsts" was "Swinter" attire on Thursday. As you might infer, this category had students and staff combining winter and summer attire, an idea inspired by Phineas and Ferb. Mr. Craig did a wonderful job not only nailing his Swinter look, but also incorporating his passion for Purple Thursdays.

School Health Screenings Opt-out

Each school year, in accordance with state mandate, IACS conducts school health screenings for all 7th and 10th-grade students. The screenings include a vision screen, a hearing screen, and a height/weight screen (BMI). All screenings are done privately and all results are kept in confidence. Per law, parents are allowed to opt their child out of these screenings.

If you DO NOT want your student to participate in the screenings, please complete this brief form by January 13th, 2023. CLICK HERE

If you would like your child to participate in the screenings, you do not need to do anything. The screenings will be conducted in early 2023.

Student Planners

Student planners are available for purchase for anyone who would like one! They are $5 a planner, and students can either ask their advisor or Miss Un in Room 502 about purchasing one.

5th Grade Science

Check out our 5th Graders engineering boats that could hold 10 washers for at least 10 seconds out of Saran Wrap and straws. Looks like they had fun!

Endersession, June 12-16th

When students and faculty are asked about their favorite aspects of our school, one of the most common answers from both groups is “Endersession”. Every year our faculty designs week-long courses that bring adults and students together to learn in unique ways. We feel that Endersession is one of our programs that acknowledges and fosters educational methods that reach beyond the classroom walls, encouraging students to develop varied interests and insights that allow them to embrace and reflect upon the world around them.

As you can read from the descriptions in this packet, there is a wide range of course offerings. Our staff has proposed courses that hopefully meet our goal of creating a wide range of options for all students and all budgets. The efforts by staff to make these courses possible are tremendous. We hope students and families are as excited by the options as we are!

Parking Permit Application

Students that drive to school must fill out an online Parking Permit Application. The cost is $15 and maybe paid online or in person to Crystal McKiel.

HS Winter Concert Photo

The High School Winter Concert was held Wednesday December 21 at 6:00pm in the Auditorium. The Choral and Instrumental students prepared all semester for this entertaining performance.

Harvest of the Month

On December 19th the Farm to School interns created the first Sample from the Harvest of the Month protocol. This program is throughout America to help educate and promote fresh local produce in schools. Interns prepared 15 lbs. of carrots from local Farmer Daves and used honey from Ms.Cynar’s mom to turn out the dish of the month. Students and staff enjoyed the honey-glazed carrots. We look forward to preparing new crops every month. Get excited about an apple dish for January.
