ASVAB Test
The next ASVAB test will take place on Monday, March 2nd at 7:30am in Room #709. Students can use the Google Form link below to sign up by February 24th. Seating is limited. Seniors and Juniors are invited to take the test, however Seniors have first priority. https://forms.gle/LX3DpQitXmEbGR7q9
Dollars for Scholars
The Dollars for Scholars scholarship application process closed for submission on February 1st - seniors must have clicked the red "Apply" button for all applications they are applying for by February 1st in order to be in the running. The deadline to complete the information sections in yellow or red has been extended - seniors must complete those sections in their portal by February 15th. Add Jodie Mueller as the School Official (jmueller2@tvusd.k12.ca.us) and she will upload student transcripts. If you have any questions, contact Jodie at 951-294-6450 ext 2060 or via email.
Pick Your Seat Day
Pick Your Seat Day is coming up on Friday, March 13th after modified day dismissal! In order to participate, Seniors must have completed the following:
- Purchased their cap and gown
- Completed community service hours
- Turned in the Walk of Gratitude Permission Slip to Mrs. Mueller in Counseling
- Have no fees/fines (cafeteria, library, bookkeeper)
Cap & Gown
Seniors must purchase their cap and gowns by February 15th in order to pick their seats for graduation. Because So Cal Recognition won't be on campus again until Friday, February 28th during lunch on the Senior Lawn, seniors must purchase their cap and gown online. FAFSA Deadline: Monday, March 2nd
Seniors: it is important that you submit your 2020/2021 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) as soon as possible. Applications must be submitted by March 2, 2020, however it is important to note that money is allotted by college financial aid offices on a first come-first get basis by the date you submit your FAFSA.
All families that complete their application by March 2nd will receive an additional graduation ticket, for a total of 6 tickets. As an added bonus, once you complete your FAFSA, you will automatically be entered into a monthly raffle for two extra graduation tickets. The sooner you complete your FAFSA, the better your chances are of winning.

Community Service Opportunities
Senior Student Community service hours are due by March 1st to participate in Pick Your Seat Day. 40 Community Service hours are required for students to graduate. Please click here to access the Great Oak High School Community Service webpage for updated volunteer opportunities. The Community Service Log can be found on this page or picked up in the Counseling Department. Please turn in your signed logs to Counseling.

MSJC Promise
Apply for admission today with this link.
The MSJC Promise removes a financial barrier to attending college by providing first-time, full-time students with FREE TUITION for the first year while funds are available. After you submit your application, look for an email with your MSJC ID number. Then visit the FYE website to complete the questions for the Promise Program.
Palomar Promise
