Not a "Sexy " topic, but Fiber is essential for your health!
Why is fiber so important? New research is shedding light on the benefits of fiber.
Fiber has some really cool benefits, such as:
- scrubbing the gut of excessive mucus and toxins.
- attaching to toxin carrying bile and escorting it out.
- providing food for the good bugs that proliferate in the intestines.
Remember 80% of your immune system is in your gut, so it is important to keep it healthy! Two foods with the most fiber are: garlic and leeks. Now I had never eaten a leek(being a country girl I had never been exposed to them) I found this recipe and loved it! Also, I eat a sprout salad with avocado for lunch most every day and add garlic to get the fiber in. (I would not advise doing this before a road trip with your husband)

Sauteed Leeks
Bunch of leeks
Organic butter
Organic vegetable or chicken broth
Himalayan salt(or whatever kind you have)
Put 2 tablespoons of butter in sautee pan, add leeks and sautee for 5 minutes. Add salt and 1 cup broth, bring to a boil then cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Unbelievable taste!

1/2 cup Coconut water(or regular water)
2 Bananas
2 Oranges, peeled and quartered
1 Apple, chopped
1 cup spinach or whatever greens you have
1 tablespoon lemon juice(fresh)
handfull of sprouts(optional) I am just a sprout nut "life force energy baby"
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
Put in high speed blend until smooth!
This will make two big smoothies. Drink up, it is great!
